A teenager died in a tragic accident involving a subway train in New York on Friday. Alam Reyes, 14, was allegedly attempting to subway surf when he fell from the top of the train onto the track below, where another train reportedly struck him. A Boston mom now has to take her 4-year-old child to the hospital for extensive blood testing after he stepped on a needle at a park’s play area in the city. Because of the horrifying incident, which happened during a birthday party , the child is taking multiple different medications daily for 28 days to prevent HIV , the Boston Herald reported. The child’s mom, Caroline Flynn, told the newspaper that the needle her child stepped on also had “leftover blood” in it....

Police in Washington state saved five children from a potentially deadly situation at the hands of their parents. Nicole Gebron, the biological mother of all five kids, and Zachariah Edwards, the biological father of three of them, lived inside the SUV with the children and three dogs. Photos of the family’s vehicle reportedly show their belongings stuffed inside among trash and drug paraphernalia. The kids, 5 to 15 years old, allegedly lived in the trunk area with the animals....

Six children in Ohio are being accused of breaking into a middle school multiple times. The children targeted Creekside Middle School three times in one week, causing around $80,000 in damages. It remains unclear what might have possessed the children to do such a thing or how they were able to execute their plan — more than once — before being caught. But now, most of them could end up spending time in juvenile detention....
