During the month of February, Black history is taught in schools, shared in McDonald’s commercials, celebrated by the White House, and commercialized in every way possible. Yet Black History Month is still struggling to acknowledge the contributions of so many Black women , outside of Rosa Parks, whose activism has actually been greatly reduced. It isn’t accidental that Black women have largely been written out of Black history.
