Walmart is recalling nearly 10,000 cases of its Great Value Brand apple juice in Georgia and 24 other states due to high levels of inorganic arsenic — a toxic metal that can cause vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain — found in them. The Great Value apple juice, found in six-packs of 8-ounce bottles, contained inorganic arsenic at levels of 13.2 parts per billion, surpassing the Food and Drug Administration’s maximum allowed amount of 10 parts per billion....

The body of a woman found floating in the Dominguez Channel in Carson, California, last month has been identified as that of a missing 60-year-old grandmother , according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The Los Angeles County medical examiner identified the woman as 60-year-old Prisciliana Rose Douglas of Los Angeles. Douglas’ body was found floating in the channel July 28, some five days before her family reported her missing to the Los Angeles Police Department....

Police arrested an Indiana mother months after her toddler died in her care at a Texas water park. Jessica Weaver, 35, and her son, 3-year-old Anthony Leo Malave, visited Camp Cohen Water Park for a day of fun in May in El Paso. Police body cam footage appears to show a Florida woman trying to talk her way out of an arrest. Officers in Hallandale Beach arrested Pamela Monsalve on November 25, 2024, after she allegedly attempted to kidnap a 3-year-old boy. Monsalve claimed the mother was indifferent about her taking the child , which in her mind justified her actions. But according to police, she committed a crime. A group of schoolchildren and teachers were attacked by a grizzly bear Thursday, November 20, 2025, while on a trail walk. According to the Associated Press , 11 people were injured in the attack, including two who suffered critical injuries. Chicago police have announced misdemeanor charges against two teenagers who caused a fatal car accident on April 16. The teens reportedly stole a car right before they blew through an intersection in the city’s West Garfield Park neighborhood. The stolen car hit a truck with a mother and her three children inside.
