So we can relate to the sweet, smiley photo of soccer mom Carrie Underwood at her son Isaiah’s soccer game. The 40-year-old singer, who has spoken openly about her facial scarring following a 2017 accident , probably thought she was sharing a lighthearted moment but unfortunately, not everyone felt the same way.

“Officially a soccer mom this morning!” Carrie Underwood captioned the Instagram pic , before revealing that she was “staying warm” in her own clothing line, CALIA by Carrie. Apparently, her son Isaiah “scored two goals for his team … and one for the other team.” (Woo-hoo!)
To many, the photo looked like a typical selfie on the sidelines — but a number of people took the opportunity to criticize Carrie.

Others zoomed in on Carrie’s eyebrows and wondered why she was wearing so much makeup.
Umm, maybe she just … likes her eyebrows dark and enjoys wearing makeup? It’s a personal preference!
And as expected, there were jabs about Carrie’s scar from her accident — along with accusations she’s dabbled in plastic surgery.

Luckily, fans quickly came to Carrie’s defense in the best way.
One mom even said she wears makeup just to take her kids the bus stop.
