Parenting multiple kids is hard enough without needing to rely on your partner for things that, apparently, don’t always get done. At least, that was the case for one dad , who was featured in a viral TikTok video when he forgot to dress his older child in what was presumed to be a “big sister” outfit to meet her little sister when the mom gave birth. Now, other people in the comment section of the video, which is no longer available, are coming for the dad.
The internet called out a dad who may have ruined his daughter’s first meeting with her baby sister.

“We are expected to be e[c]static about mediocre men and praising them for doing the bare minimum,” one person commented.
Another wrote, “She probably bought the outfit, put it somewhere obvious, told him where it was, and explained why it was important to her. The ‘who cares, it’s no biggie’ people are missing the point.”
“I gave up wanting anything after I gave birth,” one person shared in the comment section. “The simplest things were just out of the question. Now that I’m a single parent, it’s easier. You can’t be let down when you are the one doing it all.”
The video and its description led to some speculation on the couple too, with one person writing, “I would bet he’s mad that he has to ‘babysit’ their older daughter.”
Not everyone sees the mom’s point of view from the original video.
“Maybe he forgot. Maybe it got stained. Maybe the kid pitched a fit about wearing it,” one person commented. “Maybe dad was trying to race back to be with his new baby and wife. Count blessings not mistakes.”
Another backed that up with, “Honestly tho, the mom shouldn’t care so much about an outfit. Like there’s more important things going on.”
Mostly, though, people can’t understand what the heck the dad was thinking, especially after he got upset with the mom after she called him out on what he clearly did not do.
