Duggar critics are sounding the alarm just days after Jedidiah “Jed” Duggar and his wife Katey shared photos from their son Truett’s first birthday party. It seems those in the DuggarsSnark subreddit are worried that Truett isn’t getting the attention he deserves now that he has a little sibling on the way.
The proud parents gushed over their little boy’s first birthday in the post.

Truett was all smiles in the pictures from his first birthday, which appeared to feature a personalized outfit with his name and age on it and a massive sugary treat.
“Happy birthday to our sweet, adorable, curious, smart, and adventurous little boy,” Jed captioned the carousel of pictures. “Truett, we love you more than you know and can’t wait to see the plans God has for your life unfold. You’ve brought so much joy and laughter to our lives through your fun personality! Keep smiling, sweet boy! Mommy and Daddy love you!!”
People immediately started commenting on the snaps.

People took to the popular DuggarsSnark subreddit to share their disappointment on behalf of the birthday boy.
Another cautioned the little boy about what would likely come next in his supersized family. “Welcome to life in this crap heap of a family, Chicky Nuggy,” the person wrote. “Hope you enjoyed the small amount of attention you were able to have as an only child.”
Others pointed out that he’ll likely be tasked with caring for his younger siblings when they arrive.

The Duggars became household names after their shows 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On , which covered their larger-than-life family, took off. It stands to reason that the younger Duggars will follow in their parents’ footsteps and have large broods as well, putting some of the child care onus onto the siblings.
One person wrote that the little boy’s “childhood ended” the day his mother found out she was pregnant.

Although Katey definitely got a lot of attention for her growing belly, with some even wanting to know where she got her stunning maternity dress, Truett did also eventually get a bunch of birthday wishes.
We hope the toddler’s first birthday was a happy one. No matter how fans reacted to the photos, it looks like he had a blast with his family!
