A new biography on Elon Musk seems to be airing out all of the Tesla CEO’s dirty laundry, especially when it comes to the relationship he once shared with Grimes. While talking to author Walter Isaacson, Grimes revealed that Elon circulated a photo of her during a C-section to friends and family without her permission … and then, somehow, didn’t understand why that might upset her. Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, shares three children with Elon, though they are no longer together.
The incident happened during the birth of their son X Æ A-Xii.

According to People, Isaacson writes in the book that Elon took a photo of Grimes during the C-section, and then sent it to friends and family members, which included his father and brothers, without getting her consent first.
“He was just clueless about why I’d be upset,” Grimes told the author.
The book also revealed that Grimes was ‘outraged’ about Elon’s secret twin babies.
The Wall Street Journal reported that, elsewhere in the book, Isaacson writes that Grimes found out that Elon had welcomed twins with Shivon Zilis at the same time that the rest of the world did. As the mother of three of Elon’s children, she wasn’t exactly happy that she’d been kept in the dark about the news — in fact, she was “outraged.”

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Grimes apologized for the harsh language she used around the situation.
“I truly apologize for responding to Walter like that. As u can imagine, that was a very gut level reaction to a thing that has been very hard for me. Communication about the twins wasn’t handled super well in the past, but I now totally understand what happened and totally forgive the situation,” she wrote.
“Women are so often pitted against each other. Speaking with Shivon, it’s very evident she’s an amazing human and we both just want what’s best for our kids.”
The book is also the first time Grimes and Elon’s third son was revealed.

Though the fact that they had two children together, son X and daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, was public knowledge, Isaacson revealed in the book that they have a third child — a son named Techno Mechanicus, whose nickname is Tau.
Grimes addressed this reveal in her tweet as well, writing, “I wish I could show u how cute little Techno is but my priority rn is keeping my babies out of the public eye.”

The book, titled Elon Musk, officially hit shelves on Tuesday, September 12, and now that it’s in the hands of the public, it’s certainly going to be interesting to find out what other tidbits of information have also been revealed.
