At this point, Joy-Anna Duggar is used to having her parenting choices questioned by strangers on the internet, and now, her latest Instagram video is causing quite a debate. On Thursday, Joy-Anna shared a video of her daughter, Evelyn, tipping her baby brother out of his playpen, and now, some of her followers are concerned she’s putting her youngest child in serious danger.
It all started when Joy shared a video taken after Gunner’s nap.

“I was curious how my 20 [month old] kept getting out of his crib after nap,” Joy wrote in the video, which looks like it was taken as she stood where her kids couldn’t see her.
Then, we can see 4-year-old Evelyn ask little brother Gunner if he’s ready to get out of the playpen before she tips it over on its side so he can crawl out.
Some people thought this was just a cute video.
But not everyone was amused by the footage.
Joy’s critics on Reddit aren’t impressed.
One person who saw Joy’s video posted about it on Reddit , and many others admitted they’re a bit concerned for her kids’ safety.
One commenter remarked, “Yeah and it was flipped over right in front of a couch, towards the couch, and so when he tumbled forward he went into it and his head went back. What if it had been closer to the couch or towards something harder? He could have hurt his head or his neck would have gone back too far.”
“The irony that her parenting style can best be described as ‘natural selection at work’, arguably the very base idea evolution is built on , is absolutely delicious,” another person wrote.
Joy herself doesn’t seem happy with the criticism.

Another commenter earned two eye roll emojis from Joy for this remark: “Not a good plan, this is dangerous … I would have been disciplining not videoing.”
Joy obviously knows her kids best, but after getting to watch her family grow, it’s no wonder people are concerned about them – especially because Gunner is so little. Let’s just hope everyone is staying safe!
