One thing we’ve learned over the past few years: Celebrities love talking about their hygiene habits publicly and it’s almost always a divisive topic. Kelly Clarkson recently became the latest celebrity to reveal her questionable showering habits when the topic came up during an interview with Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson on The Kelly Clarkson Show. While discussing what they do to save time while showering, Kelly gave viewers a bit of a TMI commentary on her shower routine … and it’s one that Kenan just can’t get on board with.
Kelly had no problem sharing her shower habits.
“Here’s the thing. I don’t regularly brush my teeth in the shower. I just do if I’m in a hurry,” Kelly confessed . “Now, I do happen to be in a hurry often.”
Kenan’s response was quite diplomatic. “That’s fine because that’s where you’re at in the world,” he said. “I’m on the whole other side where I find it to be gross and I don’t do it.”
Kenan did admit to one ‘gross’ shower habit of his own.
While Kenan may find brushing your teeth in the shower gross, there is one thing that Kelly does that he’s more forgiving about: peeing in the shower. In fact, Kenan even admitted that he does it, too.
“I would lie if I said I had never done it, but I try not to,” he admitted. “I’m not against it. I’ve not never done it. I’ve done it. But when I do do it, I always feel so ashamed.”
Kelly makes a good point about peeing in the shower.

According to her, it’s a very “productive” thing to do.
“It goes back to that childhood sleepover, they put your hand in the hot water, and sometimes you pee. The hot water hits your body and — not every time, but, like, if I’ve gotta go,” she said.
They also talked about the proper way to wash up in the shower.

At another point in the conversation, a discussion of how to wash in the shower also came up.
“I think there’s another mention of like, maybe washing your legs in the shower. Get all the way, don’t just leave your ankles out,” Kenan explained, but Kelly didn’t agree, saying, “But wait, when you’re washing up here, it does wash down.”
They had to agree to disagree on that one.
While Kenan finds it gross, fans find everything Kelly said relatable.
