“I’s spreading that kind of fear and hatred among other people. I believe this country will fight that,” the 63-year-old actress said.

In an Instagram post from the event, Marcia expanded on her feelings about the subject, adding, “Join the @dragisntdangerous fundraiser in support of LGTBQ+, which basically means in support of all of us! Our nation, our neighbors, our children, artists, our singers, our dancers, our better leaders, ceo’s, writers, spiritual leaders, basically our humanity.”

The telethon was a star-studded event.

Marcia wasn’t the only celebrity who came out to support such an important message. She was joined by stars such as Melissa McCarthy , Leslie Jones, Idina Menzel, and Sarah Hyland, just to name a few.

It sounds like she was certainly in good company!

Good for Marcia for speaking out.

After all, this wasn’t just about her and her children — it’s about the people all over the country who will be negatively affected by these laws, and we’ve made too much progress to take a step back now.

LGBTQ rights are human rights, and hopefully, people will continue making their voices heard.
