Sometimes there is something to be said for making a post on social media and hoping the algorithm does its thing to bring you the results you want. That’s what happened for mom Desiree Walker, who posted on TikTok that she was looking for a “sweet, smart, loving girl” for her 24-year-old son and that she hoped to find him a match on the social media platform.

A mom’s social media post to find a girlfriend for her son had people suspecting he is actually gay.
Walker shared her TikTok video with text on the screen to introduce him to other users. As she wrote: “This is my son he’s so sweet he’s Goes to Costco with me and likes to cook and no he does not live and home and he has a good sales job !! And he’s 24yrs old 6’2 and single Calling all good girls That’s are single and want a good man !!”
One person commented on TikTok to share, “Somebody hold her hand while they tell her.”
Another wrote, “He’s probably not even single probably got a whole man and ain’t nothing wrong with that. Parents don’t ask questions they just overstep boundaries.”
According to other commenters, the telltale signs of Walker’s son having a boyfriend or preferring men include his eyebrow slit, two earrings, and short shorts. But to be fair, none of those are clear indicators of anything, especially because neither Walker or her son has shared that he is gay.

However, someone commented, “I honestly wish you wouldn’t address it sis – it’s quite literally none of the internets business – he’s clearly a kid with the same mannerisms as his mom; that doesn’t dictate his sexuality.”
Walker did tag her son in the caption and urged people to go to his TikTok account. Whether or not he had content there before, he doesn’t have any videos of his own now. That alone is jarring for those who are convinced there is more to the story than what Walker wants to admit. But no one has confirmed that her son is gay or that he is involved with or wants to be involved in any relationship at this time.
