With Nick Cannon’s ever growing brood , the question on a lot of people’s minds has been all about how he manages to pay child support for 12 children. Now that he’s given a bit of insight into the situation, fans aren’t happy — in fact, Nick is being accused of financial abuse .

And judging by what he’s said before, it doesn’t seem like that’s going to be his final number, either.
His children are split between six mothers (including ex-wife Mariah Carey ), and while talking to St. Louis radio station Hot 104.1, he revealed that he doesn’t have a formal child support arrangement with any of them.
He says he doesn’t give them a ‘monthly allowance.’
Instead, he says they all call him “the provider” because “what they need, they get it.”
“There’s never been something that one of the mothers of my children has asked for and they didn’t receive,” he said.
People aren’t impressed with this arrangement.

Online, people are speaking out against the arrangement Nick has set with these women.
“Every person should be in control of their own budget/allowance and he’s taking that away from them. Nick has serious issues, why do women continue to have babies with him? It doesn’t seem worth it,” one person wrote in response to an article about the situation.
Another commenter added, “Meaning he doesn’t give cash. They have to ask for things, and he will decide if they need it or not. If he thinks they need what they ask for, he goes on and buys it for them and expects gratitude. It’s a form of control.”
Meanwhile, Nick continued to gush about how much he respects the mothers of his children.
“Everybody has their challenges – but when you really understand this woman has given the greatest sacrifice and sacrificed her body to bring a child into [this world], that’s the best gift any man could ask for,” he said. “Regardless of what goes on in any scenario, I’m gonna always show love and respect. I’ll never say anything disrespectful or bad about any of the mothers of my children.”
Caring for the financial needs of so many children is a big responsibility.

Hopefully, it’s one that Nick continues to show up for, especially if he’s planning on adding more babies to the world.
We just hope that all of the children are taken care of. They deserve to be both emotionally and financially supported by their dad.
