Though she recently announced that she is now a mom of two , on the new episodes of her reality series, Paris In Love, Paris Hilton is only now revealing the birth of her first child, Phoenix, to her loved ones, and fans have a lot of feelings after seeing them together. In fact, after a clip featuring Paris introducing Phoenix to her mom, Kathy Hilton, for the first time, some people are saying they’re “deeply unsettled” by the way they interact with the baby boy.
The clip is from the second season of ‘Paris In Love.’
Paris kept her surrogate’s pregnancy a secret from everyone she knew — family included — until her son, Phoenix, was born last year, and in this clip, we get to see Paris make the big reveal that her mom has a new grandchild.
It’s obviously an emotional moment for the mother and daughter, and although some people were touched by the sweet moment, others pointed out something else entirely.
Some people didn’t like the way Paris and her mom were holding the baby.

As Express pointed out, on social media, many fans spoke out about how they believed that Paris and Kathy held the baby as if it was totally foreign to them.
Even though Phoenix was Paris’ first baby, Kathy has raised four children and has other grandchildren, so this shouldn’t have been so unfamiliar to her. One person even called the moment “deeply unsettling” in a tweet on X (formerly Twitter).
“She’s crying because the nanny isn’t there and she doesn’t know what to do,” another person wrote.
This isn’t the only thing being criticized about Paris’ parenting.

Another clip from the show featuring Paris changing Phoenix’s diaper for the first time is going viral on TikTok, and not just because she was inexperienced, but because Phoenix was a month old when his mom first changed his diaper.
“No amount of money would stop me dealing with my own baby. The disconnect here is appalling,” one commenter wrote.
Another person added, “The nanny saying ‘don’t forget to talk to him’ is heartbreaking.”
Others are defending her.

Not everyone thinks that Paris is doing a bad job as mother so far. One fan tweeted , “Watching @ParisHilton TV show and I love her with her son. She is such an amazing mom.”
Another fan called the moment she introduced Kathy to her grandson “moving.”
Motherhood doesn’t come naturally to everyone, and these clips are taken from the very beginning of her journey. It’s totally possible she’s found her groove by now!

Maybe the next time we see Paris with her baby on Paris In Love, she’ll be more at ease. These things take time!
