It’s hard to believe that Princess Charlotte is already a full-fledged big kid, but here she is, another year older. On Monday, the palace shared a new photo of Charlotte in honor of her eighth birthday, missing teeth and all. She’s just too adorable!

On Prince William and Kate Middleton’s official Instagram and Twitter accounts, they posted this photo of a grinning Charlotte, showing off her missing teeth.
“Wishing Princess Charlotte a very happy birthday! 8 tomorrow,” read the caption.
As always, the photo was taken by the talented Kate .
She’s grown up so much since last year’s portrait.

In 2022, the royals shared a photo of Charlotte posing with her family’s dog, Orla, and it’s wild to see how much she’s grown since then.
It feels like just yesterday we were finding out that Kate had welcomed a baby girl, and now here she is — 8 years old!
Her birthday comes at a busy time for her family.

Her grandfather, King Charles , will celebrate his coronation on May 6, just a few days after Charlotte’s birthday on Tuesday. It’s a very exciting time for the royals, and there’s no doubt that they’ve been keeping busy as they prepare for what will surely amount to an historic day for their family.

Charlotte’s younger brother, Prince Louis, turned 5 on April 23, and the family chose to break with tradition as they marked the occasion. Like we mentioned, Kate typically takes their birthday portraits, but this time, she was in one of Louis’ photos. How special!
