Justin and Hailey Bieber are building their own family, but what about the one she was born into? Weeks after declaring that she is no longer “close” with the Baldwins — Hailey’s family of origin — she has become a mom herself. And now, her dad, Stephen Baldwin, is reacting to the arrival of his new grandson, despite the fact that there may be a bit of tension between them these days.
Justin and Hailey announced the birth of their baby boy over the weekend.

On August 24, Justin posted a photo of his baby boy’s tiny foot being held by his mom’s finger, writing in all caps “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER.”
Stephen shared a message on X (formerly Twitter).

Quote tweeting a message from Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette, that said “I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!” Stephen added a message of his own.
“Amen,” he wrote. “Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”
His message comes after Hailey seemed to say she’s not very ‘close’ with her family.

In a cover interview with W Magazine that hit newsstands in July, Hailey admitted that she’s not “super close” with her family these days.
“I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent,” she said. “I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”
It’s not because she has negative childhood memories, though.
In fact, despite her famous parents — Stephen and Kennya Baldwin — she told the magazine that she still managed to have a “fairly normal childhood.”
“But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories,” she said, adding, “Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different.”
Now, she and Justin are embarking on a new adventure.

The couple are now first-time parents, and hopefully, they’re spending this time soaking in every minute of that precious newborn stage. It goes by so fast (you know what they say — “Time flies when you’re sleep-deprived.”
