Was Kailyn Lowry a prisoner of love? During a recent episode of her Baby Mama No Drama podcast, the Teen Mom star dished about her one-time love affair with an incarcerated man. To hear Kail tell it, she fell head over heels for the prisoner without ever having met him outside of lockup. If we know one thing about Kail’s love life, it’s that it’s never boring — whether she’s decided to take her relationships social media public or keep them behind the scenes — and this time, the story is juicier than ever.
The mother of four made the shocking revelation while chatting with her cohost.

Kail and Vee Rivera were doing a segment called “Down in the DMs,” where they heard stories from some of their listeners. After learning about another woman’s relationship with a felon, Kailyn admitted to her own jailhouse love affair. And it sounds like the man in question might still hold the key to Kailyn’s heart.
Kailyn was downright gushing when she told Vee about her former flame.

“My felon was — he’s the one — to this day, he has my heart, my love,” she told Vee, before breaking the sad news that they’d already split up ahead of his planned release.
She told Vee that she was the one who broke things off, recalling a conversation with the inmate during which she pointed out how he’d spent so much time in prison (nine years, with one more yet to go) and that his focus needed to be on “adjusting to society” again.
Honestly, that’s pretty smart.
It sounds like things are more ’not right now’ than ’never’ for the reality star.

Not all hope is lost, though. Cupid’s arrows may still fly after her former fling gets freed from his cell.
“I said, ‘When you get out, call me.’ But like, right now, I mean, I was in the thick of my depression too, so I was like, I can’t, I just couldn’t give myself …” she went on to explain.
Fans will have to wait to find out what the man was put away for.

Although Kailyn was willing to talk about some of the details of the man’s arrest — such as how he was sentenced to 10 years behind bars — she wasn’t too keen to tell the whole story. Instead, she just said that he got “caught up with the wrong people” at a very young age.
It seems like Kail’s heart belongs to another person right now anyway.

We know that Kailyn welcomed a new man into her life last year. Elijah Scott has appeared on the podcast and even showed up at the Teen Mom reunion special. But although fans have gotten a good look at the Army service member, they shouldn’t expect to see too much of him just yet. It appears Kail is keeping this relationship much closer to the vest.
We can’t help but wonder how Elijah feels about Kailyn’s confession. It can’t feel good to hear your new girlfriend talking about another man who holds her heart.
