Over the years, Maci Bookout has had to face a lot of ups and downs with her ex Ryan Edwards as she attempted to coparent their son, Bentley, with him. And now, Maci is breaking her silence after Ryan was arrested (again) following a drug overdose.
Ryan is currently in jail, awaiting a hearing.

Earlier this week, In Touch Weekly reported that Ryan was found “unconscious and unresponsive” in his truck earlier this month. It appeared that he had overdosed while he was driving, leading to his vehicle to keep going before coming to a stop after it hit a curve.
After receiving Narcan, Ryan eventually regained consciousness, and police found “a small bag of what appeared to be a crystal-type substance and a second small bag of what appeared to be a blue powder” after searching him.
After Ryan’s condition stabilized, he was taken into custody.

He was charged with DUI and simple possession and is being held without bond until his hearing on April 20.
Teen Mom fans who have been following along with Ryan’s journey know that this isn’t his first brush with the law — in fact, it wasn’t even his first brush with the law that week. On April 7, Ryan was arrested after allegedly harassing his estranged wife, Mackenzie Edwards , despite the protective order she has against him.
Now, Maci is speaking out.

Although she didn’t address the situation directly, the photo she shared with her son, Bentley, 14, and caption seem to say it all.
“That’s all I know so far,” she wrote, going on to share lyrics from Pink’s song “All I Know So Far.”
“I wish someone would have told me that this darkness comes and goes. People will pretend but my boy, nobody knows. And even I can’t teach you how to fly. But I can show you how to live like your life is on the line.”
Maci has had custody of Bentley for most of his life.

Maci and Ryan went their separate ways a long time ago, but they always remained in each other’s lives as they attempted to co-parent their son together — and sometimes, it seemed like a challenge to make it happen. Ryan’s parents had always been heavily involved in their custody arrangement.
Ryan also has two young children with Mackenzie, Jagger, 4, and Stella, 3.
This can’t be easy for Bentley.

But fortunately, he does have the love and support of Maci and her husband, Taylor McKinney, who seems to have stepped up to fill that father role.
Hopefully, this is rock bottom for Ryan and he’ll find a way to clean up his act so he can be there for his kids.
