As the death toll continues to rise, all eyes remain on Texas Hill Country after floodwaters ravaged the region on July 4, 2025. Among the hardest-hit areas was Kerr County, home to Camp Mystic , a Christian camp for girls. At least 27 of the more than 100 deaths known so far were campers and counselors from Camp Mystic. Some families still don’t know where their children are and are praying for a miracle. Even in light of that, a Texas pediatrician allegedly thought it was OK to make a horrific social media post about the flood, which ended up leading to her termination.
Dr. Christina Propst took to Facebook in a since-deleted post to seemingly mock victims , according to KPRC. “May all visitors, children, non-MAGA voters and pets be safe and dry. Kerr County MAGA voted to gut FEMA. They deny climate change. May they get what they voted for. Bless their hearts,” she reportedly wrote.
Her post quickly went viral and sparked fury online. Dr. Lynn Fynn-Derella shared the post on X, tagging Propst’s employer, Blue Fish Pediatrics.
“Wow. I would NEVER take my kids to a place like that. There is no way I would feel like they have their best interest in mind after this,” someone commented.
“The untreated mental illness is off the charts in this country,” another person wrote. “What sane and rational person would write something like that?”

Some defended the medical practice and asked others not to associate everyone with one doctor’s alleged stance.
“Bluefish Pediatrics is made up of some of the best people around. Dr. Propst does not fit that description, but I refuse to hold that against the practice. They likely need to get rid of her,” an X user shared.
A short time after her post went viral, Blue Fish Pediatrics shared a statement on Facebook regarding Propst. The practice assured the public that the doctor had lost her job.
Many people were satisfied by the post.
“Thank you, Blue Fish. My child was under her care. We were wrestling with how we’d continue to visit the practice,” a patient shared on Facebook. “So many great doctors at this location. Thank you for doing the right thing by the patients.”
“Way to take a stand. There was no coming back from this. By doing this, you aren’t complicit in these deranged thoughts. Political views are irrelevant,” another person wrote. “This is about caring and compassion and respect for families who have undergone horrific loss.”
