After Tom Cruise and Shakira recently crossed paths, it sounds like the Mission Impossible star is developing a bit of a crush. Now that the singer is single, Tom is reportedly “extremely” interested in dating her — though we have a feeling he’s going to have to get in line!

Both celebrities found themselves at the event in Miami, and it seems like they got along pretty well. In fact, one source told Page Six that there was a lot of “chemistry” between them.
“He is extremely interested in pursuing her,” the insider said.
Reportedly, Tom sent Shakira flowers after they chatted in Miami.

According to what the insider joked, it’s also a bonus that Shakira, who stands at 5'2", is shorter than the famously short Tom, who is 5'7".
“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,” the insider said, calling Tom “a nice-looking guy” who also happens to be “talented.”
Shakira just went through a rather public breakup.

Just months ago, Shakira’s 11-year marriage to soccer player Girard Pique came to an end when she discovered that he’d had an affair with 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti, who he has continued to date now that he’s a single man.
Shakira and Girard have two children together: 8-year-old Sasha and 10-year-old Milan.
Tom has been single for a while, too.

There have been rumors that Tom had been dating his Mission Impossible costar Hayley Atwell on and off for years, but if they ever were dating, that’s over now. Earlier this month, Hayley told Country & Town House (via the Daily Mail ) that Tom showed her an example of the “extraordinary power of platonic love” in the time that they’d known each other and worked together.
