Tragically, a 44-year-old American woman has died following what is being reported by police as “extreme sex” with her husband while visiting Spain. Now, he is facing homicide charges.

Last weekend, an American woman, 44, was found dead in a tourist apartment in Malaga, Spain. The woman has not been publicly identified. Her body was discovered at the Plaza Enrique Garcia Herrera in Malaga, local newspaper La Opinión De Malaga reported, per the New York Post .
Her husband was arrested shortly afterward.
As the New York Post reported, Spanish police arrested the unnamed woman’s husband. Sources told local media the death reportedly happened accidentally in an “intimate context” during extreme sex. The husband, who is also American, is facing homicide charges.
Currently, the husband is being held without bail.
On April 10, the man appeared in court before a judge, the Daily Mail reported. The judge ordered his detention without bail. Now, the Violence Against Women Court will take on the case.
The couple reportedly played sex games while on drugs.
The couple spent several days at the apartment, according to sources, per the Daily Mail . Reportedly, evidence points to them engaging in sex games while on drugs. The Spanish National Police will continue their investigation.
Her cause of death has not yet been determined.
On Saturday, April 6, local police responded to a call involving an unresponsive woman. They arrived at a vacation rental apartment, where they discovered the woman’s body. Medics certified her death, and the National Police took over investigating the case. Since then, the woman’s body has been transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine for an autopsy and forensic study, per the Daily Mail .
