Royal watchers think they spotted a hungover Zara Tindall catching a few quick zzz s during the coronation of King Charles. The moment appeared to take place just before the festivities began, with Zara seeming to close her eyes for a few quick moments. People had a lot to say about the whole thing, especially once they found out what Zara had been up to the night before.

It looks like Zara was struggling to keep her eyes open on Saturday morning as she waited for the historic festivities to kick off.
The daughter of Princess Anne can be seen slowly closing her eyes multiple times before closing them for good. After a few moments, she seemed to be jolted back awake just in time to have a quick chat with Princess Eugenie , who was just out of frame.
It sounds like Zara had good reason to be tired.

The coronation hadn’t even kicked into high gear at this point, which is why sources point to another celebration that took place the night before to explain why Zara was feeling a bit under the weather.
According to Page Six, Zara and husband Mike Tindall were seen out and about until 2 a.m. the previous night .
People cracked jokes online about the hard-partying pair.

Others made excuses for her possible snooze.
People tried explaining away Zara’s “cat nap” with a few familiar excuses.
“She was just checking the inside of her eyelids,” one person wrote.
Another person gave her a more meaningful answer. “She’s just meditating,” the person explained.
A third person used the old “just resting her eyes” bit.
Given how early the royals likely had to get up to start getting ready, she probably had a good excuse to be tired even if she wasn’t out late the night before.
We can’t even begin to imagine all of the prep work that goes into getting ready for one of the biggest royal events of the century.
Zara was probably up having her hair and makeup done while most of us were still sleeping soundly in our beds. Those were likely the last few quiet moments she had before all of the coronation celebrations kicked into high gear. She’s smart for catching a few winks while she could.
